CONVERTING WAV TO MP3 USING dBpowerAMP

You can easily convert your Wav to MP3 by downloading and using the Freeware program dBpowerAMP.

After installing dBpowerAMP you will find you have an extra 'Convert To' option whenever you right click on any supported music file. This is a great way of converting quickly and simply without the need to open any programs.

Open the folder with the files you want to convert to Wav to MP3. Right click on the file you want to convert.

If you want to convert more than one file hold the 'Ctrl key' down on your keyboard while left clicking on each file you want to convert.

Now right click and select 'Convert To' to batch convert your selection.

You now have the option to convert to Wav or MP3, choose either the Blade or Lame MP3 codec to open the configuration settings.

By default dBpowerAMP's conversion settings will be for CD quality MP3. If you want to change the quality use the 'Bit Rate slider' to adjust the settings to suit your requirements.

When you have selected your 'Output' folder and other desired preferences click the 'Convert>>' button.

Note : Although this tutorial is for converting Wav to MP3, dBpowerAMP can also convert Mp3 to Wav, CDA to Wav etc by right clicking in the same way on the relevant file. You can also use the 'dMC Audio CD Input' program in your dBpowerAMP 'Start' menu folder to batch convert CD audio to Wav or MP3.
